caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="205" caption="beats headphones"][/caption] beats headphones successfully moved byond t beachhead n cables and accessories Over th past everal years, Monster ha successfully moved byond t beachhead n cables and accessories t build nt on but two wide and popular lines f line undr th Monster nam and the thr under th new Beats b Dr. Dre brand (co-founded by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, Chairman f Interscope Geffen A&M Records). In the past, weve reviewed mn Monster/Dr. Dre models, prtculrly enjoying the Monster Turbine Pro Copper and Miles Davis Tribute in-ear phones, nd the Beats By Dr. Dre Tour in-ear and Solo HD on'-ear models. Now, Monster has introduced the Beats Pro headphones, whh ar positioned as the mot accurate model in th Dr. Dre product lineup. cheap beats headphones PRODUCT CONCEPT The Beats Pro tries to accomplish a lot. First off, t s aid t deliver pro-caliber sound f incredible accuracy. It l designed t b comfortable and have seal that shuts ut external sounds (in addition to providing sealed-back design). The Beats Pros are al approprit for mobile environment with thir rugged, folding design. At th sm time the ar sd to hav extreme power handling aprriat fr pro gear. Monster has applied sm effort to th styling of th Beats Pros nd h al attended to several convenience features involving wiring nd connectors. The Beats Pros thn ar not m casual effort. But with mn goals on th agenda, do thy succeed or are they simply muddle of competing ideas? beats studio EASE OF USE The Beats Pros hve folding design, whih llows ou t swing th earcups u inside th headband. This reduces th total footprint n th headphone, although wth large earcups s sen on th Beats Pro yu till hve a relatvel thick package. Add t that the fact tht these ar truly full-size headphones with beefy aluminum earcups and a solid headband nd yu hve headphones that r mobile but not rticulrly compact. The other aspect f mobility fr som i th ability t drive th headphone straight frm a portable device. On tht score I can say that the Beats Pros succeed completely. I used the iPhone 4 and hd no problem driving the Pros to volumes tht were t loud fr comfort. I als usd th Pros with sevral external headphone amps wth success. The input cable n the Beats Pro, befitting a Monster Cable product, s interesting and wll done. The signal cord i mostl straight, with short, coiled section at th amplifier end. The cord i abut ix feet long when fully stretched out, whh I find to be usable length t n tht doesnt get n th wy on an airplane or rund m computer. At the sm time, th coiled section means that when u extend th cable twrd the full length, youll feel progressively firmer tug t yur head, not an abrupt snap that uld break something. Monster lo realizes that u ma use phone plug input t the desk, but wnt to connect wth a mini-plug whil on the road. No problem, because Monster hs attached a mini-plug t phone plug adapter with a rubber link so that ou lwys hav bth connectors t hand .
